Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of QanoonAI, operated by Zensbot ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using QanoonAI at qanoonai.pk and its associated portals, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any QanoonAI service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with all applicable laws. If you use QanoonAI on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Service Description

QanoonAI is an AI-powered legal intelligence platform that provides legal research, document drafting assistance, case analysis, and legal calculators for the Pakistani legal system. Our platform includes:

  • Judicial Portal— Neutral case briefs, judgment research, and bench tools for judges
  • Lawyer Portal— Legal drafting, research, case management, and client tools for practicing lawyers
  • Citizens Portal (QAI)— Free legal guidance and information for the general public
  • Legal Tools— 43 AI-powered tools and 17 deterministic legal calculators
  • A searchable database of 300,000+ Pakistani court judgments

3. AI Disclaimer

QanoonAI is a legal intelligence tool, NOT a substitute for qualified legal advice.

  • AI-generated outputs are for informational and research purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice, opinion, or representation.
  • While QanoonAI maintains a 99.9% citation accuracy standard, this is not 100%. All AI outputs should be independently verified by a qualified legal professional before reliance.
  • AI models may produce errors, omissions, or outdated information. Users are responsible for verifying all outputs against primary legal sources.
  • Every AI-generated document includes an appropriate disclaimer. Removing or obscuring these disclaimers is prohibited.
  • QanoonAI does not create an attorney-client relationship between the platform and any user.

4. User Roles and Responsibilities

4.1 All Users

  • Provide accurate registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the platform in compliance with Pakistani law
  • Not misrepresent AI-generated content as independent human work product
  • Report security vulnerabilities or platform misuse

4.2 Judges

  • Judicial tools are designed for neutral legal research only. They must not be used for ex-parte communications or advocacy.
  • Judges must maintain judicial independence and are responsible for all decisions made using platform outputs.
  • Two-factor authentication is mandatory for judicial accounts.

4.3 Lawyers

  • Lawyers remain bound by their professional ethical obligations when using QanoonAI outputs.
  • All filings and submissions based on QanoonAI research must be independently verified.
  • Bar council registration details must be accurate and current.

4.4 Citizens

  • Citizen-facing tools provide general legal information, not personalized legal advice.
  • Citizens should consult a qualified lawyer for matters requiring professional legal guidance.

5. Subscriptions and Billing

5.1 Pricing

QanoonAI offers the following subscription tiers, billed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR):

  • Free— Limited daily usage across all tools
  • Professional— PKR 2,999 per month
  • Professional+— PKR 4,999 per month
  • Institutional— Custom pricing for firms, courts, and organizations

5.2 Billing Terms

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) and inclusive of applicable taxes.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase if fewer than 10 AI queries have been used. No refunds after 7 days or if usage exceeds 10 queries.
  • We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

5.3 Usage Limits

Each subscription tier includes daily usage limits per service. Exceeding these limits will result in temporary throttling until the next calendar day. See our Acceptable Use Policy for specific limits per tier.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 QanoonAI Property

The QanoonAI platform, including its software, AI models, user interface, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Zensbot. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of our platform.

6.2 User Content

You retain ownership of documents, queries, and other content you submit to QanoonAI. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process it as necessary to provide our services. We do not claim ownership of your content.

6.3 AI-Generated Outputs

Outputs generated by our AI tools (drafts, briefs, research summaries) are provided for your use. You may use them in your legal work, subject to the AI disclaimer in Section 3. Court judgments in our database are public records and not subject to copyright.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law:

  • QanoonAI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
  • We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the platform.
  • We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated outputs, including but not limited to judicial decisions, legal filings, or actions taken on legal guidance.
  • Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for QanoonAI services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Account Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
  • Upon termination, your right to use QanoonAI ceases immediately. Data retention follows our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or use of QanoonAI shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.

Before initiating formal proceedings, parties agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation for a period of 30 days. Disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation may be submitted to arbitration under the Arbitration Act, 1940, in Lahore, Pakistan.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QanoonAI, Zensbot, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the changes, you must discontinue use and delete your account.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
